The Tudor Kitchens   Hampton Court Palace

The Tudor Kitchens at Hampton Court are the most extensive surviving 16th century kitchens in Europe. Records in the Royal Archives guided an introductory presentation depicting the entertainment of the French Court on the feast of St. Johns Eve. The Kitchens themselves are displayed in the process of preparing for the feast, with fresh ingredients from the Palace gardens and costumed interpreters.

Historical Palaces

Event was commissioned to work with the HPP team in identifying six new visitor routes. We devised a series of displays, exhibitions and commercial spaces, and designed guidebooks for the tours, as well as the overall guide to the Palace.

The King's Apartments

In 1986 the Apartments were badly damaged ny fire. Event devised an interpretation explaining the damage caused by the fire and what was entailed in the six-year restoration and conservation process. A perfect scale representation into which costumed actors were projected was conceived to prime visitors on the purposes of the various rooms in Tudor times.
