Event worked closely with
Daniel Libeskind to create a dynamic and unparalleled fusion of exhibitions
and architecture. Sixty-four projectors and thirty-four speakers transform
the main spaces to create an audiovisual experience which connects
powerfully with the emotions and intellect. Voices from the archives
speak directly to the visitors as images envelop the interior of the
spaces... a seascape from the Battle of the Atlantic... young soldiers
from the First World War... women from the munitions' factories singing
for victory... As one young visitor said, 'It was like they'd come
back from the dead to tell us about it.'
