Revealing the Inner Earth
Geology is presented as a living science that has vital things to say about the way we exploit the Earth and its resources. Great use is made of the museum’s extensive collections so that the public can see and, whenever possible, handle geological specimens.
The activities of today’s geologists are emphasised throughout, so that visitors appreciate current research interests. A hands-on laboratory is available where visitors can examine specimens and talk to knowledgeable staff.
Scope of works
‘Visitors are having a great time in The Power Within. The earthquake simulation comes out as one of the most popular exhibits in the Museum.’
